Here is a list of charities and organizations our church contributes time and money to: The Boys & Girls Club, Camp Agape, Camp of the Hills, CASA, Christian Women's Job Corp, The Helping Center, Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center, Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center, Highland Lakes Crisis Network, Hill Country Pregnancy and Life Center, HIS Joshua House, Meals On Wheels, Mission Marble Falls, Mission Outreach at St. Fred's, Older Adult Rural Services, Open Door Recovery House, Phoenix Center, School Nurses’ Aid, and the Upper Highland Lakes Nature Center.
Our vision—to be a major Christian presence in the Highland Lakes District proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and our mission—to follow Christ through the ministries of worship, education, and service—are closely bound to our presence and service in our community. We are so committed to these goals that we tithe our plate and pledge offerings toward the Ministry and Outreach budget.
These are all worthwhile organizations, and members of our congregation are hands-on involved in every one of them. In addition, we participate in Christmas is For Kids, Elves for the Elderly, and other giving opportunities during Advent. Also, our quilters generously make quilts for refugee children. We have an annual Giving Fair, where all the organizations we work with set up exhibitions in the Parish Hall; and the congregation is invited to wander through, visit, and become familiar with the needs and goals of each charity that benefits from our gifts and time.
